Free Lunchtime Recital: Yuxin Chen, Piano

Yuxin Chen is a pianist from Zhejiang, China. She demonstrates wonderful musicality
and excellent technique. She always has her own delicate and unique insights into
music and is passionate about sharing the beauty of music and art with more people,
hoping to bring joy to them.

During her time at the Academy, she has won the 2nd prize at the Pacific Star
International Piano Competition, the 1st prize of Two Piano Duo Prize at RAM and the
2nd prize of Strings and Piano Duo Prize at RAM .

Yuxin has held three recitals and collaborated with an orchestra to perform a piano
concerto at the Todi International Music Festival in 2022 in Italy. She also has held
recitals at the Ark Synagogue, St Michael’s Church and care homes, and a piano and
cello duo concert at Regent’s Hall in 2024 in London.

She has received guidance and praise from many well-known musicians, including
Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron, Chairman of the Chopin International Piano Competition
Jury, Professor Alexander Schimpf from the Hanover Conservatory of Music, Professor
Antonio Pompa Baldi from the Cleveland Conservatory of Music, Professor Bao Huiqiu,
and Professor Li Mingqiang.

Yuxin is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Christopher
Elton on a full scholarship. She will continue her lifelong music journey with curiosity
and desire for beauty and art.
