Rachael Kwa is currently completing her violin Masters degree at the Royal
Academy of Music in London, where she studies with Dr Robin Wilson. Rachael
was also the recent first prize winner of the Delius Prize competition. Rachael
holds a first-class honours degree from Sydney Conservatorium of Music and
major prizes from the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).
As a violinist, Rachael has performed with the Melbourne, Queensland, West
Australian and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras, Orchestra Victoria, the Auckland
Philharmonia, alongside members of the London Philharmonic and Australian
Chamber Orchestras, at European music festivals, international concert halls, live
on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Company) Radio National and recorded new
Australian music for ABC Classic. Rachael is generously supported by the
Leverhulme Arts Trust, The University of Sydney, the Ian Potter Cultural Trust and
plays on a 1755 Nicolò Gagliano violin on loan from the Royal Academy of Music.
