Piano Trio in B-flat major, Op. 97, “Archduke” by Ludwig van Beethoven
Cherry (HiuChing) Wong, Piano
Cherry (HiuChing) Wong is a postgraduate pianist at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studies with James Baillieu and Michael Dussek in the Ensemble Piano Department on a scholarship. She graduated with first class honors in Music from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2021. As a collaborative pianist, Cherry has participated in numerous masterclasses with renowned figures such as Susan Manoff, Brindley Sherratt, and Freddie De Tommaso. Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues like the Royal Opera House and international stages including the Austrian Cultural Forum, Italian Cultural Institute, Esplanade Concert Hall, and Hong Kong City Hall. Notably, she has received multiple awards and scholarships, including the prestigious Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme as a ‘Hong Kong Scholar’.
Hin Hei Arthur Tsang, Violin
Tsang is a violinist currently studying for the Master of Arts degree under the guidance of Professor Nicholas Miller at the Royal Academy of Music. He is also studying the Baroque violin under the mentorship of Professor Simon Standage. Tsang has achieved multiple accomplishments as a soloist, such as being a finalist of the 2022 International Ponte Music Festival Concerto Competition. Tsang has participated in various masterclasses of renowned artists, including Richard Lin, Cho-Liang Lin and Elissa Lee.
Tsang is an active chamber musician and has participated in masterclasses of acclaimed string quartets such as Quatuor Arod and the Esmé Quartet. Tsang is also passionate about orchestral playing and has served as concertmasters of different ensembles, including the Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong and Collegium Musicum Hong Kong.
Ho Man Jonathan Fong, Cello
Fong Ho Man Jonathan is a Hong Kong cellist recently completed Chamber Music Fellow and Open Academy/Wigmore Hall Fellowship with the Asaka Quartet at Royal Academy of Music in London, where he finished his Masters in cello performance with Distinction with Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Prize for outstanding studentship under Josephine Knight, and completed his undergraduate study in Hong Kong Baptist University, under Chen Yi Chun. During his studies in RAM, he has been invited to premiere two new solo cello pieces in celebrating the Bicentenary of the Royal Academy of Music and was selected for the A.S.S.E.T Scheme (Frost Trust Advanced Specialist Strings Ensemble Training Scheme) with the Asaka Quartet, awarded 1st prize in the Wolfe Wolfinsohn String Quartet Competition.
Jonathan is currently playing with Asaka Quartet as the Quartet in residence at Wolfson College Oxford, and the Britten Pears Young Artist this year. Also he had been playing with Orchestra such as Philharmonia, The Outcry Ensemble and Piccadilly Sinfonia.
