Bible reading and Prayer for Wednesday 29th April

Bible Reading and Prayer
for Wednesday 29th April 2020

Welcome to our virtual morning Bible Reading & Prayer for today. For this St Catherine's Day

During this time when we spend our time in isolation at home;

Whether working alone, with family and loved ones, or continuing as normal if you are a key worker, or supporting our NHS as many within the RAF Family are doing.

I thought I would try and share a Bible reading and a prayer at the start of each weekday morning, during this difficult time.

I hope you may find comfort in the words.

Blessing to you and your family

David Osborn.

Bible Reading

St Catherine of Siena

John verses 35 to 40

Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away; for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day.’

Prayer for St Catherine's Day

God of compassion who gave your servant Catherine of Sienna a wondrous love of the passion of Christ, grant that your people may be united to him in his majesty and rejoice for ever in the revelation of his glory, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and for ever.
