DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us for this recital series by students of the Royal Academy of MusicFree admission, donations encouraged\n\n\n\nJoseph Hancock – Tenor\n\n\n\nJoseph is a postgraduate student at the Royal Academy of Music, where he studieswith Mark Wildman and Janet Haney, and is the recent winner of the Flora NielsenPrize.\n\n\n\nJoseph was a Chorister at New College Oxford, and then sang as a Choral Scholar andLay Clerk in the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. In recent years he has been amember of the Sir Arthur Bliss Lieder Scheme at Pembroke College, studying withJoseph Middleton, and a Scholar with vocal ensemble Voces8, with whom hecontinues to work as a member of their Education Team.\n\n\n\nRecent performances include Britten’s Male Chorus in ‘The Rape of Lucretia’ and thetitle role in ‘St Nicolas’, the Evangelist role in Bach’s ‘St John Passion’ and ‘ChristmasOratorio’, Handel’s ‘Messiah’, and Don Ottavio in excerpts from Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’for Opera Scenes at the Royal Academy of Music. He also maintains a busy scheduleof choral work, including as a member of the professional quartet at Holy TrinityChurch, Sloane Square.\n\n\n\nJoseph is grateful for the support of Help Musicians, the St John’s College ChoirAssociation, and the Josephine Baker Trust.josephhancocktenor.com\n\n\n\nAmy Bach – Piano\n\n\n\nAmy Bach is an American collaborative pianist who is known for the elegance andbreadth of her playing. Her repertoire encompasses a diverse range of composers fromBoulanger, Schumann, and Dohnanyi and Muriel Herbert. A frequent collaborator forboth song and chamber music, Amy has experience performing with all voice typesand all orchestral instruments. In the UK she has performed in London, Devonshire,and Kent, and her international audiences have included France and Prague as well asacross the United States. Currently, Amy is pursuing a Master of Music degree inEnsemble Piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London studying with Anna Tilbrookand Andrew West.\n\n\n\nAmybach.com\n
